Day 37 with Ruby and Rocket

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day!

I had a good drive from Osprey to Fort Meyers Beach, Florida and Gabby had me on the highways as I changed her settings today.  I had changed them to no highways cause I didn’t want to go over this horrible bridge yesterday.  So I was happy and toodling along, even got gas without any stress. However, I have been inundated with the love bug! This is a black bug that looks like it has two heads or permanently having sex and is splattered all over my windshields! Very creepy! Anyway Bill had to scrub on them tonight with – get this – dryer sheets.  One of our neighbors told him it works great.

This place is beautiful and I sat out on my patio all day looking at the water which is 4 feet away.  It’s a cool breeze and when Bill arrived he brought me a glass of champagne so life is good.  All 3 of my kids called me today and my sister which I really appreciate.  Miss them!

We had the rest of our veggies Bill purchased at a roadside stand on the way to Osprey.  The tomatoes are to die for plus corn and sweet onions.  Really great on the BBQ with ribs.

Next morning – Bill just took off and called my about a little beach town just over this bridge that I need to visit.  He thinks there is a trolley that goes there so now I have to get my butt in gear and check it out.

We’re off to Everglades City today for 2 days.
