Well Hallelujah! It’s been a month today and only 5 looooonnngggggg months to go!!
I hated to leave Juniper Lake as it was so pretty and the hospitality was fabulous but Bill and Donna suggested I stop at this winery on the way out of town so of course that got me a little motivated!
Well let me tell you I think this has been the problem all along. I haven’t been drinking in the morning!!! It’s a whole lot more fun to drive Ruby with a little buzz going! What have I been thinking???? Really just kidding but I did stop and do a little tasting at the Chautauqua Winery and bought a couple of bottles. It was OK – the grapes were actually from California but they made the wine there. They have a bunch of sweet wines they make with a local grape but it didn’t appeal to me. I stuck with the standards. Anyway, it made for a more fun drive to Mariana. Am looking forward to my recent combination of Chardonnay and Pineaple Juice. Try it - it's delicious!
We’re at the Arrowhead RV Park that’s on a lake with lots of pine trees but it’s not nearly what Juniper Lake had to offer and I think it’s buggy here. I’ll probably dream about them tonight! I still dream about the snakes in True Grit!
Bill is doing great and is having better days with normal mileage, no wind and he’s leaving earlier which gets him in earlier. Tomorrow we go to Tallahassee for 2 days. I’m excited to get down to the Keys as a few people along the way have recommended places for us to visit. Also I want to get those bridges behind me, but really I think I’m getting to be a pro at them so maybe I won’t stress.
Duncan is good and may get a bath tomorrow! Oh yippee.
Anyway I’m looking forward to the 2 days in one place. Thanks for your support.
