WOW! What a great day. The drive to Campwood was kind of fun. I was on a back road that took me by ranch after ranch. (Kept it to 45 Ron) I crossed a bridge and a beautiful lake and what do know but that was my destination. I pulled in to Cooksey RV Park which is really a county park and it was the prettiest scene you wouldn’t believe. We are camped right on the lake and we haven’t seen any other campers besides the hosts. There are huge oak trees as a canopy, grass and asphalt. No dirt! Duncan fetched his ball in the lake several times and I’m hopeful he washed a lot of that dirt off!
Bill rolled in around 3:30 after 84 miles with a big smile on his face. He couldn’t believe we were camping in this beautiful place. We had a BBQ, ate outside and enjoyed a beautiful evening on Lake Nueces.
Off to Buckhorn Lake tomorrow.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Duncan is out of the dirt! Pretty amazing you ran into someone from Ruidoso. Your blog is great reading. I wish I could read it at work, it's so much better than working. I'm not sure I've got this "blog/comment/friend" thing figured out. Can everyone read this, or just you?? Anyway, I'm glad you haven't taken out any gas station pumps, overpasses or signs (so-far).
Hey to Bill.
Take care,
Paula
love the pictures, Neita! Glad the scenery is getting better. Can't wait to see where you end up tomorrow. :-)
