Monday, April 10th
Hi,
Well this day is definitely better than the past few days have been. We travelled from Ft. Stockton to Sanderson, TX which was only about 60 miles. Along the way I saw deer and lots of cattle. It was also a lot greener and prettier country. We are in the Canyon RV Park tonight which is small but pretty. It's a nice spot but OH yes there is a railroad in our backyard. I just don't know why they have to blow the dam whistles. The weather has been great today with just a little breeze instead of a gale.
Bill's looking at the map and realizing it's 116 miles to our next stop in Amistad, TX. We may have a little redo as that's a lot of mileage. We stay there for 2 nights - our first 2 nighter! I'm really excited about that. This hooking up and unhooking takes a lot of time. I surely haven't been bored yet. I managed to get gas this morning without taking anything out so I feel pretty good about that. Also made my trip to Walmart and it was rather disappointing. No Super-Walmart for sure!
We have cable TV tonight so we get to watch Dancing with the Stars and don't have to stay up till midnight as our satellite feed is the West coast.
Duncan is still happy in the dirt. I was going to send pictures from yesterday and today but having server issues. Will forward them hopefully tomorrow. Take care, Neita
