Yikes – I had to look at my phone to know what day it is! I arrived at the Thomas Point Beach Campground in dreary weather and things haven’t changed.
We spent a quiet night inside Ruby. Bill had picked up some fresh strawberries and tomatoes so I made strawberry shortcake – Yummy! There’s hardly anyone in the campground. We do have one neighbor, Lenny and his wife. I think there are only a couple sites with the power we need. There’s no water or sewer but power is good.
The heater has come on several times this morning and it’s still drizzling. Hopefully Bill is somewhere not getting wet! We travel to Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort today where we have a spot on the Ocean. Probably won’t be getting a tan! It’s in Belfast, Maine. The great thing about the place is that they have a restaurant with a LOBSTER BAR!!!! I told Bill if he didn’t find with Ruby that’s where I’d be.
I thinking I’m going to get packed up and leave pretty soon. I heard a couple rifle shots and have seen a couple trucks go by and I’m getting a little nervous. Of course it’s probably because it’s raining and I’ve been reading mysteries. My imagination gets carried away.
After Moorings, we’re in Bar Harbor for 3 nights. Hopefully the weather will clear and they’ll have set out extra lobster traps in anticipation of my arrival.
