Day 109 with Ruby and Rocket

Still going north but I think I did head west a little today. I was on the interstate 131 for most of the day. It seemed like a long drive and Bill confirmed with his mileage – 130 miles for him. He was pretty beat when he got in. This campground was voted best in 2006 and 2007 – I can kind of see why that was the end of their reign! It’s a ways off our route so therefore the extra mileage. We head up to Traverse City today and back to civilization.
I took a picture of our neighbor. It looks like it’s been parked there since the reign in 2006. Ron doesn’t this remind you of the Nugget? The picture makes it look good.

It seems a little cooler here and as we go north I’m sure it will get better. I talked to my neighbor at the Double RR Ranch and she’s driven on the Mackinaw Bridge and said I’d have no trouble. It’s in the winter that it can be scary. It’s a 5 mile suspension bridge – I think the 3rd or 4th largest in the world. Great! That’s in a couple of days so I’ll probably start dreaming about it. I haven’t wrecked anything lately so I’m probably due!
Off to Traverse City, MI today.
Take care -
